The First Post
Welcome to my first blog post. Years ago, I had a website entitled "Kristi's Writing Desk", which has now defunct. I have decided to move my writings to a blog. Before I begin, let me introduce myself. I have been writing stories on and off for nearly 30 years, although the writing focal point has been more present in the last 23 years or so. Since I've enjoyed this hobby so much, I ended up with a Bachelor of Science degree in History as well as a minor in English from Illinois State University. Both of which required endless, extensive hours of research, reading and term papers. I wrote my first complete fiction story in 1993, and struggled with a few unfinished pieces throughout my high school years. It was in college that I began to take a more serious look at the craft of writing fiction and also discovered the atmosphere of fan fiction.
